School Programmes
Kids, you are in for a real treat this year with a whole line up of activities that will make you look forward to going to school even more! Do you enjoy telling stories? Do you have any heroes you admire? Then look out for a story-telling competition for Primary School students! Upper Primary and Lower Secondary School students also have an opportunity to showcase their creative writing skills and bring artefacts to life in their stories in a story writing competition! Teachers, add some life to your assemblies by booking our specially commissioned children's play that will discuss the importance of good neighbourliness and the breaking of stereotypes.
The Runaway Dog
Mei Ching and her friends in their search for the missing dog, Sasha and check out what new and exciting discoveries they make about their new neighbours. The Runaway Dog, is a specially-commissioned primary school outreach programme organised in conjunction with the Singapore HeritageFest 2009. This programme is available exclusively for NHB school members.
Fun on Foot, the e-Challenge!
Fans of the Fun on Foot treasure hunt can look forward to the return of this festival favourite. However, in a brand new twist, the e-invasion has taken over the treasure hunt. Team up with your family, friends and colleagues, and download the treasure map at a stipulated time. Armed with the map and clues, join the rest of the teams to race around Singapore to solve the puzzles and obtain the answers. Then upload your answers online via your mobile phones before the clock strikes you out! Cash prizes of up to $2,000 are up for grabs! May the fastest fingers and nimblest minds win!
Registration fee: $20 (inclusive of GST) per team of four.
Expedition "H"
See, hear and experience a side of Singapore you never knew existed. These popular and exciting bus adventure tours have visited fisheries, kampongs, the Freemasons and even cemeteries! This year, visit the various communities living in Singapore and find out more about their cultures and lifestyles. Tickets are limited, so grab them before they are all sold out!
Registration fee: $18 per person (inclusive of GST).
